  1. If all else fails, build a smog motor and stick it in your garage. I have an 81 Monte with a 585 in it. I saved the stock engine and when the smog police wave their nasty paper work, me and the boys make a weekend out of it. IT SUCKS!!! But the car is still "street legal".

  2. If your address is in an area that does smog testing, there is no way to get around it short of putting the registration in the name of someone who doesn't. Unless you want to move yourself. The place that you register your vehicle is connected by computer to all the other ones in your state, so, they will know if you need to have a smog certificate, or whatever they do in Pennsylvania. I am in Ohio, but, not in any of the 7 counties that require smog testing. It's called e-check here. My sister and brother-in-law live in an area that requires it though. His truck is registered in my name since the catalytic converter has been removed.

D2-you don't have to smog test anything as old as 1965. The only thing that car ever had for emmission controls was a pcv valve, if it even has that. Also, if you have a REAL '65 Chevelle SS that you stuck a 572 in, you ruined a very rare car. But, to each his own. I have a '70 Malibu with an SS hood and badges with a blown 540.

  3. come to al. i have a 65 chevelle ss that i put a 572 in and didn't have to smog it

  4. West Virginia
