You can take the PATH into World Trade Center station, then transfer to the 3 at Park Place. From the WTC station, walk up West Broadway to Park Place, then turn right. Let me see if I understand.  You're taking the PATH train from New Jersey into Manhattan and then transferring to the #3 subway line?

If that's correct, the #3 train runs downtown to Wall Street and then into Brooklyn, ending at New Lots Avenue.  In the other direction it goes uptown through the Upper West Side, ending at 148th Street in Harlem.
