I want to see how protected my computer supposely is. I use Symantec Endpoint Protection which also has intrusion prevention, ZoneAlarm Firewall, and Spyware Terminator (Which has a real-time shield for spyware and viruses by ClamWin Antivirus) and I use utilities to clean my disk, registry, and defragment.

  1. Go and do a norton security risk evauation scan online it will test you.

  2. Testing the safety of your computer, you can detect from two aspects

NOD on the first use your computer to conduct a comprehensive antivirus and then test your registry file, you can visit http://www.Fix-pc-Master.com

I think it can help you

  3. use Mcafee anti-virus it shows how much you are protected

  4. You can also test your DNS server from home using the "DNS Checker"

located at http://www.doxpara.com/ (This site may be busy so you may

need to try more than once)

  5. You can download a harmless test virus to see if ClamWin can detect it from this link. My current program McAfee found it. But, from what you said, I say your computer is protected. I might try to look for a better antivirus program like Avira, since AV-Comparatives found it to have the best virus detection rate, it's free too. There's really no way to be protected from scams like Antivirus 2009 or so, since most programs do not block it from being downloaded, mostly since some are harmless and not an actual virus. They are just fake programs trying to get money off you for nothing. The best way is to ignore and close the pop up windows it came from, and don't download it. They can be prevented, they don't attack your computer like a virus does in secret.

Best of luck keeping your computer protected and email me through my profile if you need any extra help or explaining!
