Where can I view or buy bmd records for India for genealogy?

Question

My dad was from Kattalwada India which is about 2 or 3 hours outside Bombay.

If anyone has any info please help.

And the last bit of information is the equivalent to our GRO here in the UK , this is an address though.

I haven't got an email address for you for the register office but if you could contact the Indian Community hall in your own area if you live in the UK that is, they will be able to help on that one, or even your local register office may be able to help.
