Where can I volunteer in New York City this summer?

Question

I will be in New York City this summer from June 30th through August 5th for my husband's business trip. I am taking this time off of work, but I would like to have something to do in New York. I am a youth minister, and therefore interested in volunteering/ministry of some sort. We will be living near the Columbia University campus. Any ideas? Thanks!

Also, many organizations are open to your own suggestions for volunteering activities.
