Where can I volunteer with animals in Jacksonville, FL?

I am currently looking for a job, but want to volunteer in the meantime. The Humane society burned down. Does anyone know of any good places? I love both cats and dogs

You can also try a pet rescue group in your area, or a no-kill shelter.  It should be in your yellow pages.

The Humane Society may have burned down, but it still exists, and would have information on how to volunteer to help animals in Jacksonville, Florida. Also call the ASPCA, if such exists, and look for animal-focused organizations on these sites:
