  1. According to NBC's official Olympics website, coverage of the Games began two days ago with the first US women's soccer match. Overall, the Olympics be broadcast on NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, USA, Universal HD, Oxygen, Telemundo and two special channels opened up specifically to show all basketball and soccer games daily through 8/24. It's up to you to find out, based on that list, what channels you have. I recommend that you go to nbcolympics.com where you can see the broadcast schedule for each channel on each day. The schedule can also be narrowed down to your zip code, provider (in this case DirecTV) and each individual sport you mentioned.

  2. The olympics website should have a TV schedule that will outline everything.  Plus I think DTV has the Olympics package that should offer you a lot of options.  Good luck in your quest!!
