Go 1-800-volunteer.org, there are a number of volunteer opportunities there. You can search by type, age and they are located all across the U.S. Additionally Habitat for Humanity takes people of all ages so you might want to try them.

The absolute best place that I can name is your local V.A. hospital, If per chance it is too far for you then I would say your local homeless shelter or soup kitchen.

Whether you have to do C.S. for something that you are being punished for, or (hopefully) that you are trying to give back to your community, it will help you as a person AND look extremely well on any college application.
