  1. Look in your local newspaper in the classified section or get on the internet and see what you can find for jobs that are available for someone your age.  I know someone who is your age and in the summer, she works at this ice cream shop.  You can also call around and ask some businesses if they are hiring.

  2. Check around and see whats out they're? You may have to get a work permit because you are only 14 after all. Good luck in your search :)

  3. until your 15 you can only work at home or at other peoples houses babysitting or mowing lawns.

  4. Most likely you won't be able to.  I believe you have to be sixteen in most states to have a job. unless your state offers workers permits for fourteen and fifteen year old persons.  But they come with requirements, such as nothing on your school record, like no fights, and an A/B average on your report card. Good luck, hope your state allows you to work if that is what you want to do!

  5. try doing yardwork for neighbors, cuz at 14 years old you're too young to leagally get a real job

  6. burger king MAYBE

  7. Red Cross offers babysitting certification, and a person becomes eligible at age 11. You don't have to be certified to babysit, but it may help some more fearful parents feel more comfortable leaving their children with you.

Since summer is over and mowing isn't as much of a concern, you could shovel snow (if it ever falls) for neighbors and friends. You could also clear leaves from people's yards. The elderly especially appreciate these services.

If neither of these appeal to you, you can certainly apply at fast food places and retail stores. You'll need a work permit. I was able to get one at my high school, but that was nearly 20 years ago. I don't know if they do that anymore. You can visit this link to find out how to get your work permit: http://www.dwd.state.wi.us/er/labor_stan...

    Good luck!

Edit: Does anyone you know own a business? That's how I got my first job - working for the family business.

I mentioned checking into the work permit at your high school - maybe you could check to see if your school's business teachers (if MPS has those) have any affiliation with area businesses. Our school had something called co-op jobs, but I actually think those were for juniors and seniors. Either way, it never hurts to ask. You're showing initiative, and that's a good thing.

If you can't find employment, there are a million places in Milwaukee that would LOVE to have volunteers. AND if you did that, you'd gain excellent, very valuable experience, not only for work, but also for college applications.

Finally, whatever you do, don't take the road of so many other Milwaukee youth right now: DO NOT start selling drugs (or semi-automatics or anything else illegal and hazardous to public health).

  8. Probably not. In the U.S., you have to be at least 16 or even 18 to work at stores. Try making money by walking dogs, babysitting, that kind of stuff.

  9. try grocery stores as a bag boy

  10. OH MY GOD

    YOU LIVE NEAR ME!!!!

    KIND OF!!!

    okay not really but yeah!!

    muskego.

    anyways, im not sure

but i just needed to say that sorry. xD

  11. Milwaukee?  Lessee... Schlitz brewery?

Nah, that wouldn't work.  Harley-Davidson?  A biker dude who's too young to get a drivers license?  Never work.

Okay, towel boy at Miller Park?  Oh, forget it, season's over.

So how far is Green Bay?

  12. Try getting a babysitting license then post flyer's around your neighborhood. It worked for me.

  13. man, ive tried EVERYWHERE.

    and im 14.

theres really nothing out there, not until your 15 or 16.

we just gotta wait, and it sucks. =[

  14. Duuuuuuuudette!  I hear the Schotz Brewery is hiring, Duuuuuuuudette!  You have to learn their motto, though, Duuuuuuuudette:   "Schlemiel, Schlemazl, Hausenpfeffer Incorporated!"
