You can try out Sunview Market, in Niles, IL. They pay $5.50, I think, and half cash, half check.

I don't know where you are in Chicago, but about 15 years ago (when I was 15) I got a job at Beverly Country Club as a caddy.  It seemed a strange job for a girl at the time, but it paid really well and I got to be outside all the time.

Anyway, (15 years ago) it was everyday for 4-5 hours and I ususally made $35-50 a day.

...and it's tax-free!

I really don't know.... But it really cracks me up when kids say that "14....going on 15......... Do kids really think they need to let everyone know that on their next birthday they'll be one year older?

I'm 30, do you need to be told what age I'm "going" on to next?

Other than that, I think you'll have a tough time finding a job at 14 beyond babysitting.
