I'm a high school junior, 16 years of age, looking for a summer internship as part of a program I am currently involved in. I would be most delighted if it could be abroad, and even more so if it were to be in Italy. Are there any organizations that may be worth looking into? Thanks in advance.

  1. As Doctor said. Internships are really hard to get. Even for college students. Especially abroad. I got one at Auto-Desk in the UK this summer, but I am a Programmer and knew the lead programmer on a task over there. Otherwise i would never have made it into that assignment. Its tough. Start locally and see what you can do. Otherwise its a c**p-shoot and you might miss local opportunities if you spend all your time looking overseas. Plus, do you speak Italian fluently?

  2. internships are not common for highschool students - usually only for upperclass college students. And you pretty much have to pay for it - you don't get paid and if you're talking about a foreign country - that's a lot of money for your parents to spend
