  1. No such thing as free money from the government to go to grad school.  Once you get your bachelors degree you arent eligible.  I would recomend applying for scholarships or assistantships but even then, if you have the money.. why not use it for your education?  It's the best investment you'll ever make in yourself.


  2. The US Department of Education  has a single-page tip guide called "Funding Your Graduate Education: Sources of Information". It's not that detailed (obviously), but it's a good starting point if you want to get an overview of the services available to you.

FAFSA.  Apply on line.  They paid almost $4000 for my Associates Degree and are still offering to pay for my Bachelors.  Good for you.  I went back to school at 43 with out a High school Diploma and now I'm working on my Bachelors,  go figure.  You don't have to pay it back unless you fail the course.   Best of luck to you.  I'm 49 now so I think this will work for you.
