I don't think you can get them from anywhere but Garmin.

The piece you're describing is a pretty common failure in that line.  Even if it's out of warranty, they may cover the cost of the repair.  

If you ask nicely, they may send you the piece and let you self-install it, but they'll probably want to do it themselves.
