  1. No one can help you , except yourself, take note of your weakness and straight.

If retaining information is your problem, probably you just read but you don;'t have interest.

If you're interested but still can't memorize nor retained it, try to keep reading , reading it many times as many as you can, try to recall, try to give example that related to what you wanted to remember.

One reason why people can't retain some information is just to give a glance to what they've read, some just read but not interested. If interested, but still can't retain because of stress, have time to unwind yourself first, then relax, focus to what you like to do , if for instance you are reading then you can't recall what is it all about, re-write it, as much as you can for familiarization and memorization.

    I hope it helped you.

  2. You have learned to read, write and use a computer, so you are ahead of a majority of people in the world.

The key for you is to figure out HOW you learn - by hearing someone tell you how to do it (audio learner), by reading about it or by watching someone else do it (visual learner) or by actually doing it yourself (kinesthetic learner).  When you figure out how you learn best, try to use that method as much as possible.

You may also be having a problem getting the information from your short-term memory to your long-term memory (it's a process that takes time and if you get interrupted before the information makes it to long-term memory, it's gone).  Also, you may have a problem accessing the information you have in long-term memory (like trying to find a mis-filed document).

If you live near a university that has an education department (for preparing teachers K-12), you might find out if a professor in their special education department (for preparing teachers to teach special education) has some advice for you to get around your particular stumbling block.  You would want a professor with extensive knowledge of learning disabilities because they are the ones with all kinds of ideas and tricks to help people get around a specific problem.

Remember, the first step to solving a problem is identifying the problem first!  You can learn if you have an IQ of 35-40 or better and since you have been tested and found to be "better than average", your IQ is over 100 so you can learn!

  3. Obviously you learned enough to write in english, use a computer, create a yahoo account, and post a question so i don't think your "I CAN"T LEARN" statement is too accurate.

Maybe things just take longer for you. Or maybe you are trying to study things that you have no interest in. I always find its easier for me to learn about things that I like.

    Anyway, good luck :)
