Where can bad science be found in the movie Children of Men?

it wasn't really about science.

science fiction is just pre science, many things that were once science fiction are now reality. I don't think children of men even really tried to explain why people couldn't have children anymore. It was more social commentary.

Well it's kind of hard because Children of Men never really went into WHY all that stuff occurred.  There was no definitive or obvious explanation of why women became infertile.  The focus of the movie was more on the effects of the infertility crisis rather than technical explanations of why it occurred.   You could go into why it is highly unlikely that every woman on earth would be infertile, but I don't know what that would be.

Here are some great alternatives:

The Core - The whole premise of the movie is that the Earth's core stopped spinning because of bunker buster bombs or something. Also a material that "turns heat into energy."

The Day After Tomorrow - Very dramatic look at climate change, with crazy stuff like a wave of super-freezingness (absolute zero?) that freezes and ices over everything in its path.

Doom - Claims that the small portion of human DNA still not understood is "the genetic code for the soul." Also an extra chromosome gives people super powers.

Grey's Anatomy - Actually a TV show. There was an episode where Dr. Grey stopped breathing due to hypothermia and/or drowning, and the other doctors rescusitated her several hours later. She had no brain damage.

None of these are the type of science fiction that depicts a possible future. These are ones that break fundamental laws of science, or show a complete lack of understanding of what DNA does, or how long a person can survive without breathing.
