Some require steam vents or on something called 'geothermal fields' but can they be constructed elsewhere? Please anything will help. I'm doing a research paper that involves adding geothermal plants to PPL Energy, an energy company in the Ohio/Pennsylvania area.

  1. probably along the Rim of Fire {Pacific coastal areas} from the Americas and Asia

  2. YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK would be a beautiful place for a huge geo plant, wouldnt you agree? just think of all of those wasted BTUs...talk about becoming green and energy independent.  Man just think....

drill deep enough and you'll find it to be quite warm a few miles down (ok maybe more than a few) , even in january in PA

  3. Where is magma?  Everywhere!  Just dig straight down.  It's  just a question of how hard it would be to dig that far.  It's easier just to find a thermal vent.  Unfortunately, most thermal vents are beautiful places people don't want to mess up with a powerplant.
