  1. you realy need to hit a few websites. Official train company sites are best, there may be more than one company servicing the line. Book as far in advance as you can as this is CHEAPER. sounds stupid I know, but I travel London to Newcastle once or twice a year and when booking 6 weeks in advance have paid as little as £28, though it's often £35. If I turn up at Kings Cross tomorrow to get the first available train it'll cost me £75+ (and they wonder why we stick to our cars!?!? it's actually CHEAPER for me to drive in that case)

Herts links directly to Edinburgh and change - still gonna be a days travelling

  2. Any manned railway station can sell a ticket from any station to any other station! You can do it on the internet too. But I'm afraid you can't go to Alloa just yet as they are still rebuilding the railway and haven't finished yet....

For an idea of fares to anywhere else go to www.nationalrail.co.uk. Once you have generated the timings for your trip you can enquire about fares.

For details of complete journey including a bus from wherever to Alloa go to www.traveline.org.uk and use their journey planner.

  3. online you can do it here

    http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/

  4. Here: http://www.thetrainline.com/ :-)

  5. http://www.thetrainline.com

Do I pass "Go" and collect 10 points?
