Where can i buy Saki, and is it any good?

i might be going over a friends house who i have a crush on, and want to impress her. I asked if we could watch a dvd over some saki, and she said yes! but I don't know what it is! I know i'm stupid.

  1. Get Junmai ginjo or Junmai dai-ginjo (approx $20 for 750mm bottle) @ Japanese Market.   Drink it ice cold.

    Or get sho-chu (Kurouma).  Drink it on the rock.

  3. any liquor store will have it... serve warm in those cute little espresso looking cups ;) it's not for everyone though, kinda bitter rice wine...good luck, very romantic gesture

  4. You can buy sake at most liquor stores, do yourself a favor and serve it warm (nuke a cup of it  for about 30 seconds). It kind of tastes like vinegar at first be you'll get over that. I order it out all the time and love it.

  5. Yes, its good. Heat it up and add a little Chambord and she will love you.

    Oh, it's called "purple haze" when you do it this way.

  6. Sake is rice wine.
