I have seen them for sale in Pet Supply Plus, so I would imagine any of the larger pet stores would have them.  There are also ferret rescue societies and I imagine the SPCA may also have them occasionally.

If you are living in NYC, they are illegal to own. Major pet stores in NY sell them.....Petco, PetSmart, Petland, etc. Most of them come from Marshall's. If it is a MArshal ferret, it will have 2 dots on his/her ear to validate he/she has been descented and desexed.
