Where can i buy a beginners chess set?

I want me and my 8 year old son to learn how to play chess together, so was wondering where to get a beginners chess set?

  2. Telling the truth there is no difference between amateur and professional chess sets.

  3. There are only chess sets.

    Some are more ornate than others.

    Don't know where you live but anywhere like the Poundland will have a cheap one. Either that or Wilkinson etc.

    Hope you have more success than I ever did. Still cannot make head or tail of it.

  5. Buy a normal chess set and a guide to help him improve his skills and tactics in chess. Buy it at any toy or retail shop. e.g. Big W.

  6. hey i had the same problem so i went to big W they have a easy one for around 10-20 dollars or even better cheek out go-lo they have it for 2-10 dollars or if you are american wall-mart all the way
