The ownership / possession of a firearm in the Bahamas is ILLEGAL unless you are licensed.

"Any person who purchases, acquires or has in his possession, uses or carries a gun without a licence therefor shall on summary conviction before a Stipendiary and Circuit magistrate be sentenced to imprisonment for a term not less than two years but not exceeding five years and shall be liable to a fine of ten thousand dollars:"
