DVR's don't exist in the Philippines because there is no system here that times and records a specific broadcast and bills you for the service... unlike in the USA where a DVR is supposed to be connected to the phoneline like having Internet. btw, all DVR's have a built-in Hard Disk Drive so if ever a system like that would exist here (ahem, calling all Pinoy cable companies) you would need to hardwire it to a computer and rip the content before burning it to any medium like CD or DVD.

the best you can do is to buy and install a TV tuner card and video recording software for your PC... or a VHS player/recorder, time it yourself, and hope you don't have a brownout.
