Where can i buy a good bottle of champagne?

I purchase many different kind of liquor before, but i never buy a bottle of champagne. I want to spend around $100-$200 for a bottle of champagne as a gift to my in-law... and I have no idea where to start. Do they have them at regular grocery store / Costco? Which kind / brand has good reputation and tasty?

A very nice French Champagne is Vieve Cliquot Gold Label.

Dom Perignon is the top shelf choice, but I tend to go for a very dry wine and the haute Brion fits my taste.

Don't go to Cosco for this; go to a fine Liquor Store where they know what they are talking about.  you are not buying a mass produced machine, but an exquisite taste sensation.

At most grocery stores you can get a good bottle of champange.  

Moet Chandon White Star is a legendary bottle!  They used it for everyone at the Golden Globes last year. it's like $80-110  per bottle depending on where you go. It's actually made by the same people who make Dom Perignon and it is only 1 level of quality below DOM
