Where can i buy a magnet? a typical magnet that i can show preschoolers how it works with paper clips?

Wal-mart might have some magnets in their craft section of the store. Also they do have magnet boards too in the school and office supplies area but why would you need one when you have a fridge in your room?

I got my magnetic board at Office max - you can get a typical magnet from Oriental Trading or any teacher magazine or catalog.

Craft stores have magnets, also stationery stores such as Staples which have packets of small coloured magnets, and metal whiteboards  (note if the letters are magnetic, you don't need a magnetic board, just a metal one that is iron or steel)

Toy stores have play magnets or check out a fabric store for small magnets(like the kind to make refrigerator decorations)...good luck.
