Where can i buy a ps3 hard drive?

Please tell me where can i buy a hard drive for my ps3.....i need to know what type i should get...tell me all the info i need..i dont want to break my ps3....i just know u need a 2.5 inch hardrive or something....also give me websites or retail stores in which i can buy them from. If you answer all my questions i will give u best ans...or whoever answered all my questions the best....

just to let u noe y i want to upgrade i because i ran out of space on my 80gb ps3....

best buy will have and so will walmart but i dont know about gamestop.com

its not really that hard. all you need to do is get yourself a 2.5 inch sata hard drive. theyre most commonly put into laptops, so if you look in a laptop section on a store, youll find tons. also, ps3's hard drive runs at 5400 rpm, so you should get one that works at that sped, although i also believe some people say that using a 7200 rpm hard drive works, and improves some loading speeds. check newegg.com for the cheapest hard drives. dont forget, youll also need an external hard drive, so you can back it up before you remove the hard drive. you can find those on newegg also.

You can get one practically anywhere. What you are looking for is laptop harddrive that is SATA, not EIDE. It has to be 2.5" and it HAS to be 5400RMP. There is no limit to the amount of size you are capable of upgrading to. And they are pretty cheap. Try best buy, i dunno if you have this store where you live, but you can try microcenter. Its a really good store. Or if you cant find it in stores, just order it from amazon or something. It's probably cheaper on the internet anyway.

you can buy a ps3 hard drive in most computer stores ask for a 2.5 inch sata hard drive it dosnt matter how fast it is but anything over 5400 rpm will not actually be any faster and may over heat
