I have curly hair so i straighten it which is really a hassle as it takes me an hour if not more to achieve the straight result. The problem is it gets oily only 2 days after i wash it, and i would like to last at least 4 days with my hair straight =(

I did some research and found whats called a Dry Shampoo, or a shampoo that doesn't require water.

My question is:

Where can i buy it? e.g. CVS/Walgreens or Walmart?

& please dont just guess, i need it today =)

  1. They have two brands of dry shampoo at Sally Beauty.

  2. Honestly, if your hair is very oily, the best thing you can do, is shampoo less. No, I'm not kidding. Shampoo strips your hair of all of it's natural oils, and in response, your scalp over produces more. I only wash my hair once a week, if not once every week and a half. And I don't get greasy hair. I have a friend whose hair was always greasy, and she stopped washing her hair daily, and it got much better. I promise, I'm not pulling your leg. If you can get past the initial extra greasiness for a few days, it gets better, and you can gradually add time between shampooing. Good Luck!

  3. You don't have to buy one, just get some baking soda or some arrowroot and you can make your own dry shampoo at home. Or make a clay treatment out of Kaolin Clay and powdered milk. This will strip your hair of excessive sebum (oil) and because clay contains silica and powdered milk contains vitamins and softens ahir and skin this treatment is healthy for your hair as well. Moisturize your hair with aloe vera juice or gel after the clay treatment. Aloe vera juice or aloe vera gel can be found a the grocery store or at GNC.

Aloe vera gel is VERY healthy for hair and will give you a "beachy wave" look sometimes.

  4. I'm not sure where to buy that, but I have really curly hair too and I use a Paul Mitchell straightener (a ceramic one) and I can go to bed with my hair wet, and the ext day straighten it and it only takes like 20 minutes. And my hair is super thick and is long, past mid-back. It heats up really hot, and because it is ceramic over time it makes hair shiny and healthy.

I know one time my mom bought a product at wal-mart that was a spray. It was the same idea as the dry shampoo, like it was used to refresh dirty hair and make it look less oily. I think it was made by Herbal essences. Maybe?
