  1. yeah I found some at the goodwill for $4.00. Check around in your area.

  2. For a cheap starter set that will come with everythign you need, check out Wal-Mart, Target, Sams Club

  3. Definitely! Goodwill sells clubs for $1.51 in metro Atlanta!

  4. Look on Golfsmith.com.  They have quality used and new sets of clubs that are priced reasonably.  I buy everything I own as far as golf goes from them.  You can go to any walmart or dept. store, but you will get excellent service at Golfsmith.

  5. I'm not an expert golfer but here's what I've seen while looking for clubs without going broke...

Take a look at local pawn shops if you aren't too worried about the brands and need to manage the cost.  I've recently seen Wilson or other entry level clubs.  I was in a pawn shop in the Fort Worth/Dallas area where you could have picked up a nice looking set of clubs and bag for well under $200.00.

If you have a little more in your budget look for a complete golf set at d**k's Sporting Goods, Academy or Sport Authority.

You don't need to go nuts on little accessories but do get some golf balls and a package of tees while you're at it.  If you're flying somewhere on the golf trip, you may need to look at something to allow you to check the clubs as well.

If at all possible, get an hour or half-hour lesson with your new clubs before you leave town.  You'll have a much better time and feel a lot more comfortable with your 'sticks' if you can squeeze that in.  A lesson can be more affordable than you might think and can make a huge difference in whether you have a great time or just end up frustrated.

  6. You can get decent clubs in different price ranges, go with what you can get for the amount you want to spend.

  7. There are lots of sources......But you have a very limited window to buy in and I have no idea what your budget is.....Try a couple of golf stores and see what they have in their used inventory is the best I can give.

  8. You can check on

    http://www.ebay.com

    http://www.ebayoyo.com

    http://www.golfsmith.com

    Good luck!

  9. Goodwill or Salvation Army
