  1. The question is best answered by asking just which kind of Polaroid Camera you're looking for.  The type I think you're looking for is the Polaroid 600 - the picture is ejected from the front upon taking the picture.  As stated before, Polaroid is closing down their film production centers, and Fujifilm has not confirmed picking up this type of film just yet.

These types of cameras can be somewhat easily found at thrift stores, and fairly inexpensively.  Or you could go to eBay, etc.

I tend to use more of the Type 100 style Polaroids that use a peel-apart film.  This type has a replacement on the market now through FujiFilm.  I've used this replacement, and I enjoy the replacement film alot.  FP-100C, FP-100B, and FP-3000B.  The peel-apart films are nice because you can actually get the image off of the paper and place it onto nearly anything you want.

Again, FujiFilm CURRENTLY has replacements for the peel-apart films for prices that are comparable and in many cases, more high quality results.

This is a little blog I threw together for my work with emulsion lifts as well as cameras I've picked up at thrift stores.  I currently have a Polaroid Land Camera 210, 215, 230, 440, Minute Maker, and the Reporter, and I bought all of them for between $2 and $10.

And if anyone does not believe me, here's the link for Fuji FP-100C - Fuji's replacement for Polaroid Type 669 film, currently on sale:

  2. Try ebay. They have everything

  3. You do realize that polaroid is ending production of film for these cameras this year don't you? Fugifilm said they might introduce some top end polaroid film for pros towards the end of the year but that won't help the average joe with an average polaroid. You might still find them at places like Wal-Wart, and CVS pharmacy, but that's about it except EBay or maybe Amazon.com

  4. If you buy one and are lucky to find film now, the camera will be obsolete in a few months when they quit making the film.  Then the camera will be worthless.  The pictures aren't that great, and they fade in time.  Save your money.  They aren't  worth paying $2 a print.
