  1. The best way to actually go about getting that bait is to catch them yourself. Not sure many bait shops sell bluegill as bait in the first place. At least I've never seen it in the states I've lived in.Besides they're easy enough to catch if you want to take the time too.But yes there would also be more of a chance of a place carrying them the closer to the lake you get.

  2. Legal Areas Allowed

Sunfishes are permitted on all waters of the counties of La

Paz and Yuma. No waters of any other counties are open

EXCE PT: 1) the Colorado River south of the Nevada-California

boundary downstream to the Southern International

Boundary with Mexico, including impounded reservoirs, 2)

the Gila, Salt, and Verde rivers, including impounded reservoirs,

    3) urban waters in Maricopa County, 4) Lake Pleasant,

    5) Alamo Lake, and 6) Patagonia Lake.

Assuming you are fishing in legal areas with sunfish, i would just catch some out of somebody's pond. most people are not too concerned with their sunfish population and will let you keep plenty. one of the best ways i've found to keep them alive is putting them in a plastic tote with a cheap aerator you can buy at walmart and throw a little ice in every once and a while to cool the water. good luck fishing!

  3. Using gamefish for bait is illegal in most states. Check your local F&G regulations.
