  1. You absolutely can't.  And by calling around they'll know what you're doing.  You must present a dr signed rx card everywhere you go to get contacts.  You're best bet is to find the cheapest Optometrist and go to Wal mart or Sams to buy your contacts if you're so worried about the costs.

  2. I agree with JL if you want cheap contacts WITH prescition just go to walmart and you can get a check up and the prescription for around 70 bucks! By the way thats 1 box of acuvue 2 contacts are 14.00 dollars a piece

  3. Do you have insurance? Insurance usually covers eye exam. I do agree with everyone. You have to have a prescription to order contacts online. Online site will not fulfill your orders without verifying with your doctor about your prescription. Why is this? Because it is the law now. Contacts are medical devices and the government don't want people damaging their eyes because contacts that don't fit properly will cause scratches and scarring around the cornea. Additionally, the shape of the eye (that determines your vision) can change within a year's time frame. This is why lasik surgery, eyeglasses, and contacts can't guarantee that your vision will remain constant year after year. Thus, eye exams are essential just as much as a yearly physical and pap. Our bodies do change with the passage of time.

There are no legitimate onsite store that will provide contacts without a prescription. If they do, it's call a black market and they will be in big trouble with uncle sam!

  4. Don't mess with your eyes.

    Seriously.

Suck it up, go to your optometrist, and be safe about it. A little extra money is worth the protection. You know what they say about an ounce of protection being worth a pound of cure.

Besides, you need to go to the optometrist annually anyway, even if you don't think anything has changed. It's like the dentist -  even if you THINK everything is fine, you still go twice a year to make sure.

  5. Don't buy prescription products online from companies that will sell them without a prescription.  Where do you think their stock is coming from?  You only get two eyes.  Protect your vision.
