Where can i buy chickens in the uk and what type should i get?

Question

I live in the uk and wanted to know where i could buy good chickens for a good price ( about £15). I live in the cambridgeshire area.

I also don't know what type i should get. I want to get 3 chickens and i'm not bothered too much about the quantity and quality of the meat but about the quantity and quality of the eggs.

you can buy battery hens very cheaply and not only save them from an awful life but they will lay eggs for you - contact the rspca for more
