  1. If you can only afford $30, I strongly suggest you do not get a bird. Parrots cost alot of money to maintain, you need to have a nice big cage, feed it daily, change its water daily, buy it toys every so often, provide it with attention daily. You also need to be able to afford a vet, so if your only looking to spend $30 on a bird, imagine what the vet bills will cost you. .

  2. If you only have $30.00 you are about 1,970.00 away from buying a macaw.  Save your money up then buy a bird that is not cheap, cheap will only buy you probably a sick bird.

  3. 30$ will get you a budgie, you cant afford it(cage, toys etc..)

rmrbr what you pay for is what you get (ie. getting a cheap bird, the bird will have problems)

  4. Check the yellow pages.  There was a place in Spring just south of Hardy on 45 years ago that sold nothing but birds.  Not sure if they are still in business since I have been gone from Texas for at least 5 years.

Don't think you will be able to get one of those birds for $30.  Maybe a parakeet and a cage.

  5. A cockatiel or a macaw...

One is a very big bird, one is a small bird.  Did you mean a cockatoo??

Your $30 will buy you neither the cockatoo, the macaw or even the cockatiel.  The big birds are expensive to raise - it can take years from the time the prospective parents initially meet each other to the time they produce live offspring.  During those years, some breeder is spending a lot more than $30 making sure those birds have food and all the necessities to make them comfortable enough to breed.  Then when the babies finally do come, months of handfeeding, sometimes round the clock, to assure someone a tame pet.  I'm sure you would agree all that work is worth more than $30.

You might be able to find a cockatiel for between $50-$100 but you would need a cage, food and toys.

Hang on to that $30, save up until you have enough to buy all your supplies and then look for a local breeder who can supply you with a happy healthy bird for a reasonable price.
