Ive just recently become obsessed with japanese cooking, and have stocked up my cupboards with lots of little items that help give that classic "noodle bar" flavour. But havent managed to find anywhere that sells kamaboko. I generally buy from the japan centre online, but they dont sell the fishcake to online customers because they sell it frozen, and cant send it. Anywhere else online that does this?

  1. if you are in london try JAC in finchley near the station

  2. The first 2 people are correct and if you have a Korean specialty store, they have it, it is popular in there dishes also, much of it will be forzen and like the artificial crabmeat/surimi it keep for sometime, a trip to London may result in more findings and when you do located it, then the next trip is that much easier.

On my last trip to Liverpool, I located it there in a small asian storefront, and made several dishes for my old chef mate and his girlfriend, I was a chef for 20+ years and travelled alot, even worked in Japan for awhile.

  3. Check here:

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?i...

You will find what you like!

    Good luck!

  4. Check your local asian market - they normally have it in the freezer section.

Honestly can't think of any places that would sell it online, sorry.

    Hope this helps - Blessings
