I've just got a car but it's quite old and only plays cassette tapes. Is there anywhere on line that sells music cassettes ? And is that site safe to use ?(by which i mean reliable and safe to use a debit card on) I know it'll probably all be old music , but that's ok : )

Thanks !

  1. It seems like you would have to buy "used".  I would use Ebay.  You have to get a paypal account, then you can use your debit card to buy things.  You use paypal, that way you don't have to give the seller your card info.  You should make sure a seller is trustworthy before you buy.  You could find a nice small collection of tapes that suit your style, and it might be cheap.

Another easy way to get music is to just tape a CD.  You just buy some blank tapes, and you record a CD while it's playing.

The third option is to buy an mp3 player ($25), plus a cassette adapter ($10).   You just plug the adapter into the player, and you can listen to your tunes in the car.  Some good mp3 players are here:

And a cassette adapter can be bought here:

  2. Tons of music shops are constantly trying to get rid of their cassettes.  I would just call up some local record/music shops and see if they have any cassettes they are selling, usually if they do, they charge you maybe $0.50 for each.

You can also browse Craiglist and look under your city or something close to you to see if anyone is giving them away or selling them and along with e-bay.  I just did a search on a "lot" which means more than one included.

    hope this helps!
