  1. Proof coins are seldom offered in rolls for they are available only in proof sets. For example the 2008 proof set has the cent, nickel, dime, 5 state quarters, 1/2 dollar, Sac dollar and the 4 President dollars. Some of the proof sets of the 1970-1980's had large mintages and a lot were broken up for the 1/2 dollars. The other coins were rolled and sold that way. They have little value due to a lack of collectors, most collectors want the complete sets. The mint does not sell proofs by the rolls so only rolls of the sets broken up are available. It is wise to not buy sight unseen coins for a photo can be deceiving. It is also wise not to buy on line unless one knows his coins. There are plenty of coin dealers around and coin shows, look before you buy. Also learn to grade for a proof is a type of coin not a coin grade and like uncirculated coins that go from Mint State-60 to Mint State -70 the proofs do the same but so people will know it is a proof coin the grades go Proof-60 to Proof-70.
