  1. Wal-Mart has good boots too.  Usually under $70.  I have a pair I bought 12 years ago and I used to wear them daily for about 5 years.  They're still in good condition.

  2. Walmart has the least expensive pair of steel toe cap work boots. But you must remember you want a comfortable pair because you will be on your feet for long hours.

  3. Army and navy stores or some mainstream companies such as Arco and Cromwell tools have a budget range.

  4. If there are market stalls nearby try there, you should be able to get them for about £20 from a market trader, dont forget to haggle with them as they give a price expecting to be made a lower offer.

  5. Check the second hand stores or pawn shops.  My brothers crew sold theirs in one of them.

  6. Most builders merchants sell them, ask for a trade discount.

  7. If you're in the UK, both Priceless shoes and Shoezone do the steel toe capped safety boots for £20. The have them in black brown & a beigy stone colour.

My Hubby got his from there, and so far they're proving to be well worth the money.

  8. walmart has em too

  9. If you want to do it on line, just google "work boots" or "safety boots".  Otherwise, most towns have shops selling working wear - tried looking in the phone book?  Builders merchants etc? Don't buy second-hand boots, you could pick up all sorts of nasty foot infections.

  10. Walmart sells steel toed workboots pretty cheap.

  11. WALMART...need I say more! If you find that they are not comfortable buy cushioned soles

  12. Red Wings are still the best, they have a chinese made one there. (to US specs)  The arch supports are expensive tho. (Good)

  13. assuming you're in the UK, the chain ShoeZone sells them for around £20, there are different types, from steel toed Timberland style boots to rigger boots.

    Hope this helps.

Or, the viking catologue. They have a website too.

  14. Try looking on line, there are loads of companies, even ebay sells them, at a reasonable price, or ask your work mates where they got theirs they could recommend a better website?

  15. Price is no substitute for safety, they must all come with your countries safety rating say for example 5kg/cm2, if you buy a pair of cheap Chinese imports that don't meet the regulations if you drop something on your foot and break a toe you wont get any compensation.  Also they should be oil and solvent resistant and very comfortable with a high rating against causticity.  My site manager by law can ask to see my boots to check for a kite mark, no kite mark he can kick me off site.  I buy ARCO or Chapps boots they meet all the regulatory safety requirements for where i am plus as they are guaranteed they are obliged to compensate me if they fail to do the job i bought them for.  If i can't get a year out of a pair of Chapps then theres something wrong with my feet.  Cost about 25-40 sterling with a company chit discounted to cost price about 17-20 sterling.

  16. i got mine at jc penney - look in the mall at department stores like sears and penneys.

shoe stores are more expensive  since they have a higher overhead than department stores.
