  1. Whatever you do, DO NOT RELEASE THEM INTO NATURE. That "Finding Nemo" story is a bunch of bollocks! Besides, the fish you release could become an invasive species and destroy the ecosystem of the pond/river. By releasing them, you kill many more fish than you could imagine. SERIOUSLY.

  2. Interesting q/a

I looked up keywords (clove oil fish) and found clear directions for euthanization

  3. bring the fish back to nature. by releasing to the pond etc

  4. Hi there, if you can't relocate your fish in an environment where they can be cured try this site:

  5. What is generally accepted as a very humane and peaceful method of killing fish is using Clove Oil.  That's what you'd want to look for and disregard anyone talking about flushing or freezing.  The next method considered to be quick and painless after Clove Oil is a strong blow to the base of the head where the spine connects in.  This isn't something everyone can do though so I always advise using the Clove Oil.

It's called an overdose liz, and it's very much accepted in fish keeping practice as a common method for putting any fish down.  It very much will kill them.  I'm not sure where you get your information from, but across numerous forums, this is the best accepted method.

  6. Ok, this is the best method bcoz my cousin accidently killed all the fish in his tank in less than a few minutes

There were lots of cockroaches in his house...he tried to kill them by spraying that "Hit" or "baygon"( or whatever insecticide...that kills them).

Now fate turned towards him & cockroaches decided to take revenge....so come of the cockroaches flew & took refuge in aquarium in water!...(that was stupid actually but if there's lot of killer poison around...that's the only thing these insects did)

So , my cousin, even stupider than the cockroaches sprayed the insecticide right in to the aquarium....he realized his mistake a day later.......even worse two of the fishes ate the cockroaches ....they died instantly.others floated in agony 4 a while & died an hour later.

  7. dnt kill them!! sell them!!

ask ur neighbour wud they like them

    >:(

  8. Don't buy anything from the store to do that, check online and there are "homemade" chemistries you can easily put together to accomplish the task.  Now that said, I would encourage you NOT to do it, if at all possible.  Check around at your local pet stores; usually at least one is willing to take fish, especially if you say your only other option is to put them down.  Taking them to a store is actually less trouble than trying to destroy them in a humane sort of way.

Finally, please don't listen to these well-meaning answerers who're saying to release them into a local water source.  "Aquarium fish" have absolutely no chance in the wild, and in some cases their presence could even disrupt existing ecosystems.

    I hope that's helpful.  :)

  9. Don't kll them! just realese them in a pond or somthing like that. I feel sorry for you...

srry I don't know much about fish

  10. It is unfortunate for your fish but if you feel you must.

Mix equal parts of vodka and water.  Place your fish into the mix.  The first breath the fish will be drunk and paralized bythe third he will be dead.  This is the most humane way to euthanize fish.

Please don't cut off their heads or freeze them.  Freezing them takes hours and they suffer.

  11. it depends on how they are dying- symptoms would be really useful.  no-one should give you this information until we know that there is no hope for them.

what if there are fish in the tank that have not succumbed to disease?  you're just going to kill them anyway?

please, please, please, let us know what's happening to them so we can give you a safe option. :)

ALSO CLOVE OIL DOES NOT KILL FISH!!! it knocks them out, but is not effective as euthenasia!!!

  12. DON'T KILL THE LITTLE FISHIES !!

    GIVE 'EM 2 ME,I'LL LOVE THEM !!!
