  1. Another Mazda parts guy.  He is right.  The dealer is the only place to get them unless you want used.  And they ain't cheap.  Good luck.

  2. which one?  on the 2.3, there are 2 automatic tensioners.  the one that drives the water pump/power steering/compressor is KJ01-15-980C.   if the spring tension is gone, you are hosed.  if the pulley bearing is bad, you can get just the pulley KJ01-15-940A.  BUT, it ONLY fits this tensioner.  the other tensioner drives the alternator/a/c compressor/vacuum pump, KJ02-15-980B.   it is available only as an assembly.   mazda sugg list price is 368.71 each.   only a mazda dealer will have these.  dont bother with pep boys, autozone, or local shops.  they wont have it, and they probably dont know what they are.   these are specially designed tensioners only for the miller cycle motor.  for used, ebay has them sometimes.  or, you can go boneyard.  but, they are not easy to remove.  the motor has to be raised up to get them out.

  3. any local car shop shold have it like pepboys autozone
