There are plenty on the side of the roads.  You should pick them up to help the environment, get some exercise, and extra credit.

people recycle aluminum cans for money...NOT the other way around.  If you are suppossed to bring in cans for recycling..ask friends, family, neighbors, and relatives to give you their cans..you can also walk around your neighborhood and collect ones that people have tossed out.

put out flyers to your neighbors telling them your intent. ppl are usually very helpful when it is for school project. save your money for an ice cream!
