Anything really cheap will come in a plastic bottle, presumably because plastic is more expensive, and because homeless drunkards are liable to shatter glass. Most brands of this grade are regional, but ones near me include Rubinoff, Mr. Bostons, and Zhenka. Popov is also in plastic, but tastes a bit better. You can find this kind of gutrot at most discount liqour stores. Nicer liqours come in glass because alcohol is a solvent and it actually seems to disolve the plastic a bit- imparting real classy offnotes to your vodka.

As for how you made it out of high school without ever hearing of this stuff, that may be a question for the ages.

Many liquor stores now stock more popular liquors in plastic bottles.  They still have the labels on them and they look the same, but they're obviously more durable and are, well, plastic.  Usually they're about the same price as the glass bottles.

Just buy them in their normal bottles and transfer them to an empty plastic bottle.
