  1. or you could donate them to salvation army or some other organization.

as long as were thinking backwards, let's give all the poor families who can't afford clothes house insulation that they can sow into pants!

wtf dude, that is the most stupid thing I've ever heard.  If you want your old jeans to help someone donate them to less fortunate people.

  2. freecycle.org

  3. There is a thrift shop that benefits Create a Smile.  It is located in downtown Carterville on Division Street.  If they cannot use the items they recycle them.  I know they recycle jeans (they gave me some that were headed for recycling for use in my VBS last year).  They also get a small monetary amount (so many cents) per pound for they jeans they recycle.  Many of the other places throw them out if they are not fit to sell.

  4. i have theme

  5. Currently, all AEROPOSTALE stores are collecting gently used jeans to donate to homeless teens. If you take your jeans there, they will give you a 10% off coupon towards the purchase of new jeans, if you want.

  6. Turn them into hats and bags and sell them cheaply at a local market

  7. find somebody that makes quilts  they can use it for them.

  8. Bonded Logic, a Phoenix-based company that turns post-industrial cotton and blue jean scraps into insulation, announced on their web site that they would be opening a number of blue jean drop-off centers.

I don't know much about the centers but I thought this piece of information might be a bit useful. PEACE LOVE & HAPPINESS!

  9. I've also seen old jeans used to make pillows and to cover boxes. I've also thought they could be used as drapes, etc. for kids' or teens' rooms.
