Where can i download a free version of office or word. something that i can use for school?

i need it for school. i need word n all of the programs. i have a free trial but it ends soon and i dont wanna have to pay 60 bucks for the program. any help is very appreciated. thank you

    An open-source word-compatible version of office.


  2. Get 'OpenOffice' latest version; does all the MS Office suite stuff, and will cross pollinate to and from MS Office.

  3. you can't get a "Free" version of word.  Like others have suggested, you can download openoffice for free though.

    another option is to use Google docs (spreadsheet, word processor, calendar, etc).  It's free as well and you don't have to download/install anything. It's all done online and is office compatible as well.
