Where can i download a program that i can use to scan downloads before actually downloading them ??

Avast! scans the file while its downloading. and when its done downloading it gives it a final scan. It will stop it before it does any harm. Other then that you can't scan a file thats not on your local machine.

There isn't a program to scan files on another server before you download them. The only thing you can do is download and then scan them. Most, if not all, current virus protection programs have real time protection so if the file is a virus it should be detected as your downloading and will be quarantined then(or you will be asked what to do and then you tell it to quarantine it).
