The one who told you that limewire does slow down your pc, could be right. What I mean is, when you try to download too many songs at the same time, it could slow down your pc.  Every download takes away a little of your download speed. Max. 8 at the same time will be ok

Only be carefull, that you do not download one of the many fake (dummy) files every p2p programs have.

When you do a search for a song, you always see a lot of those very small files. too small to be a song or movie. It is therefore very likely, that those small files are the fake files.

Just start your downloads with files larger than 2500/3000kb.

Nothing is completely save, so make sure your anti virus is up to date.

Yeah limewire will do that. Also, it depends on the speed of your internet connection. Try downloading torrents. Go download uTorrent, and then go to isohunt.com or btjunkie.org to choose what music you want to download.

Technically doing this is illegal because no song is free. However I am not telling you to do this method, but simply telling you if you do it is illegal and you can be charged for it.

Limewire only slows you down if you download a virus. There are easy ways to prevent this. All songs are between 5000-7000 kilobytes, any song out of that range like 10kb+ should never be downloaded unless it comes with the movie.

My suggestion? Use P2P, you can download Limewire PRO registered version (illegaly) for free. Using programs such as Azureus Veus and www.thepiratebay.org . Azereus is a bittorrent download program, and thepiratebay is where you receive these bittorrents. You can actually download entire CD's off thepiratebay.com. This is the safest way as long as you READ the comments posted below the download. If everyone is saying Great download ! nice quality, then its good, if you see one or two saying, don't d/l its a virus, don't download. The more "SE" and "LEACHERS" you see a download having the better it is.

Limewire is easier and will not slow your computer down, especially if it was made later then 2005. Computers are jet engines now days, and unless you get a virus you will be fine.

I used esnips for a while. It worked ok and some users post how to get around the lack of the download button.

Anytime you download anything free, there's a chance of getting a trojan.
