You are doing a poor-mans RTA (Real Time Analysis)

Download the NCH test tone generator and burn your own test tracks. But 30 and 20 hz tones can damage a woofer or over-heat your receiver if you play them too long.

You want to do this:

- hook up a spl meter

- burn a disk with 16, 24, 32, 40, 48... hz tones per track, about 8 seconds per track

Run the tracks and use the SPL meter to measure the volume at each frequency.  This will tell you NOT your speaker response, but the room response.
