  1. There are a lot of package day trips Rome to Florence; a couple of examples are listed below. However, it's also very easy to just take the train to Florence on your own. The Santa Maria Novella station in Florence is about a 10 minute walk to the Duomo. The tourist areas in Florence are compact and easy to navigate.

Rome to Venice isn't so practical as a day trip. It's at least a 4.5 hr ride each way on the fast trains. Tivoli or Pompeii would be better options. The earliest Eurostar from Rome doesn't arrive in Venice until around 11:30. The last Eurostar back to Rome leaves Venice at 6:30 pm arriving in Rome a little after 11 pm. Given the travel time between the train station in Venice and Piazza San Marco, you wouldn't have much time for sightseeing. You could get a couchette on the night train and arrive in Venice about 5:30 am and spend a full day, but I'd recommend looking at other trips unless this is your only trip to Italy ever and you absolutely have to see Venice.
