Where can i find a 35mm slr camera for cheap.?

Question

im looking to buy one in the orlando area and dont have

much money to spend.

i dont want to spend more than 50

but i want it to be in really good shape.

does anyone know where i can buy one?

You're in luck, film SLRs can be found for dirt cheap these days. Pawn shops should have them. Also, you can try checking on Craigslist or Kijiji or even in your newspaper classifieds.

try a pawn shop. They usually have good deals on cameras.

Pawnshops, craigslist.org, ebay, garage sales, you name it. I would get a Nikon because almost all of the mounts are backwards compatible so if you go DSLR (as in digital) you can reuse some of your lenses...If not, try to get something that suits you but that won´t become a problem. I have a Canon A1 and used to have as a backup a canon AE1 program. But the battery has become a P.I.T.A. to obtain. There are some cameras like the nikon FM-2 or FM-10 that if i´m not wrong, don´t need battery. I would also  look for the classics, specially if you need some special lens (commonly made for canon, nikon but difficult for sigmas and other not so common brands). If you want to do regular photography, not a very specialized one, and you get a nice body lens combo, i say go for it.
