Where can i find a VCR player only, not a combo dvd player. Do they even sell them in stores anymore??

i have a dvd player, and i need just a vcr. i cant seem to find them in any of the department stores

  1. Actually, inorder for a VCR to become a combo with DVD, a DVD "mechanism" is added, and will only cost the factory $5 or bellow.

    The DVD mechanism will use the same video and audio circuitry and power supply the VCR mechanism is using. So, if the manufacturer will spend $30 for producing a pure VCR(no DVD drive) and $33 for producing a combo player, it will be stupid and impractical for them to sell the VCR only for small price difference with the combo and wise buyers will still choose the combo even if they already have the DVD player. So buy the combo player that affords your budget and you may need a backup DVD player.There's magnavox for $59 at walmart. The DVD in that price is just a bonus not intended to add cost...
