  1. Alligators, like all reptiles, continue growing throughout their entire lives. Most species of caiman don't get quite as big as alligators, but are highly aggressive.

Also, depending on where you live, owning alligators or caimans or any other species of crocodilian is illegal without the proper permits (contact your state's Fish and Wildlife Commission or Department of Natural Resources for regulations in your state).

Crocodilians are not the best thing as "pets" because they don't turn into "pets". If you want a large, potentially dangerous lizard, start out with some kind of monitor lizard (after doing a good deal of research on the various kinds... things like adult size, etc.) As for cost on a monitor, it depends a lot on what kind you get, this will also play a big part in aggression. Some species of monitor can become used to being handled and even seem to enjoy it... be prepared to be bitten at least several times before your monitor realizes this...

  2. Caimen don't get as large as other types of alligators, but they still aren't very small.  I wouldn't recomend one as a pet, because they can still harm you.

  3. bad idea

  4. I have know clue because all alligator's get big..

                Good luck

  5. No such thing

  6. alligators arn't big.

unless you count over 10 feet as being big.

  7. All crocodilian species get too large to be a beginner's pet.
