Where can i find a cheap and direct train route to noth devon?

I am looking for a cheap train down to bideford, north devon, from either nottingham station or a station within notts, for example beeston. I would prefer direct but it is a way so i expect there wobn't be one and if not i am looking for the least possible cahnges, lease see my other question regarding accomadation. There are 4 16 year olds going

You need to use the journey planner at http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/

You select the date and time you want to travel and where you are going from and to, and they give you a list of train times that are similar to the time you are travelling. Select the one that you want, and then click buy tickets, (even if you are not buying online). It then tells you which train company is the cheapest for your journey and what they will charge. It is also cheaper if you book in advance. You can then either buy them on the site and they will post the tickets to you, or you can buy them at the train station.
